Decision on CBCE Board Examination – Ministry of Education – Government of India

The Prime Minister hosted a high-level meeting on 14-Apr-2021 to review the reviews that will be held at all levels in light of the development of the Corona situation. Federal Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pohryar Nishank, the Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister, the Secretary of the Cabinet, the Secretary of Schools and Higher Education and other senior officials attended the meeting.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the well-being of students must be the government’s top priority. He also said that the center will keep in mind the best interests of students and ensure that their health is taken care of without harming their academic interests.

The meeting outlined the X and 12I board examinations to be held next month. The X and Twelfth examinations offered by CBSE are scheduled to start on May 4, 2021. The country’s pandemic is reappearing with 19 positive cases of COVID in many states, and a few states are more affected than others. In this case, schools in 11 states have been closed. Unlike the state councils, CBSE has the characteristics of all India, so it is very important to hold exams all over the country at the same time. Taking into account the current situation of the pandemic and school closures, as well as the safety and well-being of students, the decision is as follows:

The board examination for the 12th class will be held from May 4th to June 14th 2021. These exams will be held in the future. The board of directors will review this situation on June 1, 2021, and will share details later. At least 15 days’ notice will be issued before the start of the exam.

The 10th Board of Directors Examination, which will be held from May 4 to June 14, 2021, will be cancelled. The results of the tenth type of board of directors will be compiled based on objective standards drawn up by the board of directors. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the scores assigned to him/her on this basis will have the opportunity to take the exam because the conditions are conducive to the holding of the exam.
